Day 01 Arrive Muscat

Arrive at Muscat International Airport. Meet and assistance by Arabica Orient Tours Representative in the general arrival hall. Transfer and Check-in to who will then escort you to the car which you will embark and depart for the Al Maha International Hotel in Ghubra.

It would take approximately 20-30 minutes to reach your hotel. This beautiful hotel is your home for three nights. Arrive and check in at the hotel .

Day 02 In Muscat

After breakfast at a pre-fix time you will be met by your tour guide and proceed for a Muscat- City Tour. Muscat offers the visitor a unique opportunity to witness a modern commercial centre existing in harmony with its traditional culture. With its natural harbor, Muscat means “Anchorage” & lies in a natural volcanic bowl. Our tour of the Grand Mosque (open 0800 to 1100 Hrs only – Thursday & Friday closed - (Ladies fully covered with a head scarf and men in full length trousers) & Bait Al Zubair Museum (Friday closed) is a brief introduction that traces Oman’s history and development. Drive along the waterfront Corniche visiting the Fish Market & the colourful Muttrah Souq. We proceed for a photo stop to the magnificent Al Alam Palace; official Palace of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos flanked by the 16th century Portuguese Forts Mirani & Jalali.

Afternoon at leisure to enjoy hotel facilities. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 03 In Muscat

After breakfast at 0830 hrs you will meet your guide and depart for a Batinah bash experience. On your way you will pass through the city drive along the express way, past the airport and then along the Batinah coast. Our first stop will be at the Barkha village. Watch the fishermen bring in their early morning catch to the shores or take a walk in the seaside market laden with fish, vegetables and fruit stalls.

After a short tour of this market you will proceed to the village of Nakhl and visit the Nakhl Fort. This fort once served the Imams of Bani Kharous and the Ya'arubah dynasty. After recent restoration work carried out on the fort, it is refurbished with the traditional furniture, handicrafts and historic relics. The ceilings, the doors and windows are decorated with beautiful carvings. The view from the roof-top is very impressive and offers a panoramic view of the surrounding landscape. The old village of Nakhl which nestles below the fort gradually leads to the famous warm springs of Nakhl situated at the end of an attractive Oasis. Relax by the side of the shallow waters of the springs surrounded by lush green date plantations and steep mountain peaks. En-route you will stop for a brief photograph of the Rustaq fort. After the visit of this fort you will drive back to Muscat.

Day 04 Muscat–Quriyat—Wadi Arbean-Bimah Sinkhole-Wadi Tiwi-Sur

After breakfast check out from the hotel and board the 4 WD vehicles and leave for Ras Al Hadd in Sur. En-route visit beautiful Wadi Al Abeen after the visit of quriyat. On your way also stop at Bimah sinkhole, fins beach, Wadi Tiwi. On Arrival in Sur proceed to Sur Plaza Hotel. Check-in and afternoon is at leisure to enjoy hotel facilities. After dinner (direct payment) you will meet your guide and proceed to the ras al had beach to see the nestling habits of the green turtles ( period for hatching is there). Return to the hotel in the late night. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 05 Sur – Wadi Bani Khalid – Wahiba/Nizwa

After breakfast check out from the hotel and go for a short tour of the ancient seafaring town of Sur and its dhow yard. Then we leave Sur and drive to the beautiful Wadi Bani Khalid. The pools are cool, deep and absolutely stunning and the silky water perfect for a long swim. Proceed to Wahiba Sands, the undulating golden sands. After having spent some time here in the desert you will bid goodbye to the inhabitants and proceed to Nizwa. On arrival check in to Falaj Daris hotel.

Day 06- In Nizwa

After breakfast proceed on a full day tour of Nizwa known as the OASIS CITY OF NIZWA, which was once the capital of “JULANDA DYNASTY” in the 6th & 7th Century AD. Today it remains as the most popular tourist attractions with its historical buildings & imposing fort. Visit the NIZWA FORT with its enormous round tower built in the 17th century built by “IMAM SULTAN BIN SAIF AL YA'ARUBA” to defend the route to the interior. The fort dominates the entire area, with the town having grown around the edifice. Access to the top is only by means of a narrow, twisting staircase barred by heavy wooden doors, studded with metal. From the top of the tower one can get a bird's eye view of the Nizwa city. From here there is only a short walk to the NIZWA SOUQ which is renowned for its intricately hand-carved "KHANJAR" and ornately designed silver Jewellery. Here on a Friday a unique goat and cattle auction is held. The atmosphere is electric. After this visit drive to the village of "Al Hamra" for a visit of "The Bait Al Safah", the cradle of Heritage and history. It is one of the best places to shed light on the life of our ancestors as they lived. We also see old houses, Museum and the Falaj system at Bait Al Safah. At Bait Al Safah you will live an out of imagination experience that you will cherish. After enjoying Omani Kawa and dates you will depart for Jabal Shams, En-route stopping for a photograph of the Misfah, a village in the mountain seemingly hewn out of rock. The houses cling to the rocks, this looks precarious but it has been here for centuries. A short walk through the village will bring you out looking down at the Falaj and water pools which is still used for washing. Continue drive to Jebal Shams to see the grand canyon in Oman. You will enjoy a part of the afternoon here walking around , there is a possibility of meeting Jebal handicrafts man also. Lunch (on direct payment) at the campsite. Late afternoon drive back to Nizwa. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 07- Nizwa/Muscat/Out or extention

After breakfast check-out and proceed to the JABRIN FORT, en-route, stopping at BAHLA for a photograph of the BAHLA FORT, now a World Heritage Site. Arrive at JABRIN to visit the castle, the finest of Oman's castle built in the late 17th Century, which became a seat of Omani learning. This castle has extremely well planned layouts with room for the “Wali” - the ladies room, the kitchen, the “MAJLIS” etc. Most of the ceilings are decorated with beautiful paintings with Islamic motifs. The view from the top of the castle is really mesmerizing. After this stop continue drive to Muscat International Airport to connect flight for onward destination or take an extension to one of the beach resort in Muscat.
