Day 01 Arrive Muscat

You will arrive at Muscat International Airport. You will proceed to Travelex counter to collect receipt for visa on arrival. After Immigration you will proceed towards the baggage collection area, where you will collect your luggage and then proceed through customs. Guests then enter the arrival area to be welcomed by our Representative/Tour Guide.

Rest of the evening at leisure

You will be escorted to the waiting vehicle which you will embark upon and depart for your Al Maha International Hotel in Ghubra.

It would take approximately 20-30 minutes to reach your hotel. This beautiful hotel is your home for three nights. Arrive and check in at the hotel . Rest of the evening at leisure.

DAY 02 Muscat/Wadi Bani Khalid/ Wahiba Sands

After breakfast at the hotel check-out. You will meet your tour guide at a prefix time who will escort you to the waiting 4 wheel drive which you will embark upon and depart for the great desert of Oman called the “ Rimal Al Wahiba Sands” you will drive past several small villages and towns along the way. A few rest stops will be made during the journey. You will first proceed to Wadi Bani Khalid which stands out in contrast to the desert, with green clear natural water pool and green plantation of banana and dates. After having spend some time here you will continue to the desert. On arriving at the entrance of the desert whilst you can stretch yourself, the guide will deflate the tyre and refuel if required before proceeding inside the desert. Continue your journey of approx 35 kms inside the desert to the 1000 nights camp. On arrival you will check in to your tents.

The 'Wahiba Sands' often described as a perfect example of Sand Sea consists of large ranges of dunes running from North to South, some attaining a height of about 100 mts and orange in colour. Our experienced drivers will take you on a dune bashing tour through the undulating sand dunes to experience the thrills of dune driving. Arrive at the pre arranged camp site for overnight.

Day 03 Wahiba/Sur/Wadi Tiwi/Bimah Sinkhole/Wadi Al Arbeen/Muscat

After breakfast you could either enjoy another round of dune bashing or short camel ride, later check-out and depart for Muscat. Before bidding goodbye to the inhabitants of the desert you will meet a Bedouin family to know about their lifestyle in the desert. Later depart for Muscat via the town of Sur along the coastline. You will make a stop at Bimah Sinkhole a crater in the ground where you could see green water pool where the underground water connects to the sea. After a stop here, you could also use the rest rooms here before getting back to the 4 wheel drives and proceeding to cross over the mountain to Wadi Al Arbeen, in the back drop of the mountain this wadi looks stunning, it is here where you can enjoy picnic lunch (on own arrangement) will be provided to you. After having enjoyed the lunch you will continue your drive to Muscat.

On arrival Check-in at Al Maha International Hotel. Rest of the day at leisure to enjoy the hotel facilities.

Day 04 - In Muscat- Visit of Nizwa & Muscat by night & Depart

Breakfast at the hotel. At a prefix time you will meet your guide and proceed for a tour of the Oasis city of Nizwa. You will first visit the Grand Mosque the most exquisite Mosque in Oman. The development of the site, including the fully developed areas and landscaping, covers 416,000 square metres. The Mosque complex (covering 40,000 square metres) is constructed on a raised podium in keeping with the tradition of Omani mosques that were built elevated from street level.

Dress Code

Ladies visiting the mosque are required to cover their head with scarf and do not wear shorts, beachwear or sleeveless outfits as they are to be fully covered.

Men are also to be fully covered. Slip on shoes recommended

After this visit you will return to your vehicle and continue drive to Nizwa which was once the capital of Julanda Dynasty in the 6th & 7th Century AD. Today it remains as the most popular tourist attractions with its historical buildings & imposing fort. Visit the Nizwa fort with its enormous round tower built in the 17th century built by Imam Sultan Bin Saif Al Ya'aruba to defend the route to the interior. The fort dominates the entire area, with the town having grown around the edifice. Access to the top is possible only by means of a narrow, twisting staircase barred by heavy wooden doors, studded with metal. From the top of the tower one can get a bird's eye view of the Nizwa city. From here you will proceed to the Nizwa Souq which is renowned for its intricately hand-carved "Khanjar" and ornately designed silver Jewelry. Here on a Friday a unique goat and cattle auction is held. The atmosphere here is electric!

After the visit to the fort and the souq , you will proceed to one of the local restaurant for lunch ( on direct payment). After lunch you will drive back to Muscat. You will return to the hotel to collect your baggage and proceed for a tour of Muscat City, you will proceed straight to the old Muscat driving through the town, to arrive at the Al Alam Palace the official Residence of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said, The Ruler of Oman. The Palace is an architectural marvel for both its design and its location between the 16th century Portuguese forts of Jalali and Mirani ( Photo stop only) from here you will drive along the cornice to arrive at the you will continue your drive to the heart of Muttrah. We visit the Muttrah souq. Sound and fragrances are in abundance. After spending sometime here you will return to your vehicle and proceed to one of the restaurant Al Maida Al Arabia in qurum Garden or Kargeen in Medinat Qaboos for dinner ( on direct payment). After dinner transfer to the “Muscat International Airport”. Arrive at Airport and check in at your Airline counter. After immigration if you want to go shopping proceed to the duty free or wait near the gate for the boarding announcement.
