The Traditional Muttrah souq

The oldest souq in Oman situated in the old part of the town facing the sea. The souq is visited both by locals and tourists and is a place of charm and choice with everything available to buy, from silver khanjar to gold , to electronics to clothes etc. A great opportunity to interact with the local and the expatriate community who visit and work in the souq shops.

Al Araimi Complex- Qurum

The ‘jewel in the crown’ is undoubtedly Al Araimi Complex, a popular shopping complex in Qurum that was once a magnet for shoppers in its heyday. It continues to be a major draw for leisure-seekers attracted by the selection of international consumer, lifestyle and luxury brands that have opened exclusive or multi-brand showrooms at the complex. Adding to its appeal are popular fast food joints, chic eateries, banks, ample parking that is free and other conveniences. The complex has three floors and is open from 9 am in the morning to10 PM in the night ( without break in the afternoon) except for Fridays when the timings are different.

Capital Commercial Complex- Qurum

The Capital Commercial Centre (CCC) is a supermarket, shopping center and fast food haven – all rolled into one! The mall has independent stores that sell just about everything – from music, shoes, electronics, jewelry, carpets, clothes, lingerie, perfumes and even photography equipments. Right outside this mall, you can find the chain restaurants like Bollywood Chaat, McDonald’s, Pizza Hut, Baskin Robbins and Subway. Apart from all these, you can also find a small souk where you can buy a wide range of Omani silver, handicrafts, leather goods and trinkets. Now if you want to relax and take a sip of coffee, you can stop over at the Second Cup Coffee just outside the CCC centre.

Markaz Al Bahja- Seeb

This is a nice , medium-sized and not often crowded mall located just past Muscat City Centre as you drive towards Sohar. More precisely, it is located at the Al Mawaleh roundabout between Seeb and Muscat . The mall has an Al Fair supermarket, Baskin Robbins, Marks & Spencer, a nice food court, and 3 floors of shops. There is also a movie theatre, pool tables and a bowling alley on the lowest level.

City Centre- Seeb

City Centre- Seeb is the biggest and best shopping centre in Oman. It opened in 2001 and its correct name is Muscat City Centre, which can confuse people as it is several kilometres outside Muscat's city centre. It belongs to the Majid Al Futtaim chain of malls, which include the Mall of the Emirates and Bahrain City Centre.

Altogether the mall houses 144 retail outlets and 20 restaurants. They include a huge Carrefour hypermarket, where you can buy just about everything from camping equipment to fresh lobsters. There is also a large Borders bookstore, stocking a good selection of English books, and a Centre Point. One section has designer clothes stores, like Giordano, Misako and Bally. The food court includes a variety of fast food outlets, such as McDonald's, KFC, Hardees, Subway, Cinnabon and Baskin Robbins. There is a Magic Planet entertainment area for children. The malls multi-storey car park has spaces for over 1,500 cars.

City Centre- Qurum

City Centre- Qurum is located near Qurum roundabout and is easily accessible from the Sultan Qaboos Highway. The mall was opened in 2008. There are large number of international standard shops and restaurants meeting the growing demand of the people. The mall offers wide and diverse range outlets which include Mango, Borders, Bossini, Monsoon, Next, Promod, GNC, Body Shop, Claire's, Nayomi, Adidas Mothercare. The main anchor store in this mall is Carrefour. To make your shopping trip more comfortable and filled with pleasure, Qurum City Centre offers you something more than just the outlets. There are eight ATMs. For the shoppers there is even separate prayer rooms for both men and women. There are also currency change outlets. For those who are aged, wheelchair service is easily available and toddlers can enjoy window shopping as they take a ride along in a stroller. Qurum City Centre has a covered parking facility for 1000 vehicles.

The Sabco Commercial Centre

The Sabco Commercial Centre is known to be the oldest mall in Muscat. It has been operating for more than 15 years. This center is home to famous brand names like Godiva, Cerruti, Raymond Weil and Philippe Charriol, plus a premier retail outlet of the world-famous (and locally made) Amouage. It also houses the only pet shop in Al Qurm - the Creatures Pet Shop. You can also relax with a variety of blended coffees and sandwiches at the Sabco Café or try their indoor souk which sells silver jewelry, handicrafts, clothes and the traditional Omani khanjar

Al Araimi Shopping Centre

Al Araimi Shopping Centre houses many branded shops like JC Penny, Mexx, Giordano, Versace plus a host of shops selling electronics, perfumes, footwear, gifts, sportswear and furniture. There are also kiosks selling artificial jewelry and has a nice restaurant on the basement. The shopping mall is open throughout the day from 9 am to 10 pm giving all shoppers
