Humble beginnings
It all started back in 2010 as an idea between 2 friends; Saleh Al Siyabi and Sanjay Bhattacharjee who wanted to bring their joint passion of Oman, tourism and create authentic experiences for travellers in a manner that hadn't been done yet. They set up a small office in 2010 with one person wearing every hat.
Jan 2011
First sales rep
After nearly 6 months of hard work, we signed our first sales representative contract in Jan'2011 with East West Travel to represent us in Germany/Swiss/Austrian market. This soon followed with representations coming on board from the Italian and French markets.
Mar 2011
First ITB
With a small team of 4, Arabica attended their first ITB in Mar'2011. Our first sales mission in Germany was organized in May of 2011 and followed along was their first trade show, WTM, in London in the same year.
Oct 2012
Best tour operator
We won best tour operator award from the Ministry of Tourism, Oman in 2012 when Muscat was declared the Arab Tourism Capital in 2012.
Jun 2015
A growth spurt
From 156 visitors in 2010, our company grew steadily year on year to reach a figure of 2606 visitors by 2015 as well as a staff strength of 25 members. The team also moved into a new office space that they'd call home for 6 years.
We were awarded the best DMC in 2015 by Marriott Resort- Salalah.

Pandemic
From a thriving company of 41 staff, to a small team of 6, the company survived the global pandemic on the bare minimum while adopting remote working policies, supporting each other, planning, and gearing up for the post pandemic world.

Award winning outcomes
Coming out of a pandemic through resilience, determination and smart planning Arabica not only came out on the other side but did so with big strides–winning the Arabian Best Of Best Awards for Best DMC at the Platinum level.

Ordinary people, creating extraordinary experiences
Sanjay brings to Arabica over two and a half decades of experience in tourism. Unsettled with the quality of service offered by big agencies he set out to create his own with a single vision in mind; To never have tourists leave unsatisfied with their holiday in Oman.
Bharat is a seasoned tour operator, working with Arabica since 2012 starting out as a tour guide and now leading a team himself. He has over a decade of in depth, hands on experience and can craft truly bespoke packages for your needs. He believes Oman has a lot of touristic potential and is focused on unveiling it for every visitor.
Sreekanth is a seasoned travel expert with 8 years of tourism experience in India and Oman. He brings a wealth of cross regional knowledge to the team. Beyond his day job in tours and travel, he enjoys exploring his culinary skills.

Jithin is a seasoned professional with a Master of Tourism Administration degree. Jithin has dedicated over a decade to the industry and has strong logistics capabilities. Beyond his professional commitments, he finds joy in exploring new destinations, cooking some flavourful dishes, engaging in a game of badminton, and some classic movies.
Chetan has strong qualifications including a diploma in the French language. With an impressive two decades of experience, Chetan brings a wealth of expertise to our team. Beyond the world of travel, Chetan's diverse interests include cooking, exploring new destinations, delving into world history, and enjoying the enriching experiences of music and art.
Neelam is the finance maestro and backbone of AOT playing a key role as the accounts manager. Armed with a B. Com degree, Neelam brings 23 years of invaluable experience, she ensures the financial health and stability of the company. Neelam finds joy in the simple pleasures of life, with hobbies ranging from watching movies to listening to music and cooking.
Inderjeet is the fresh face in our team, bringing a dynamic background with experience from multiple professional sectors. Inderjeet adds a unique perspective to our company and is poised to contribute to our team's success. Outside of work, he finds solace in the world of literature, and enjoys listening to upbeat music.
